Information Technology Professionals, a Madison company offering Microsoft cloud computing and computer support services, has been acquired by another Madison tech company, Gordon Flesch Co., in what owners say has created one of the largest IT service providers in the Midwest.
ITP employs 50 people, which includes offices in Appleton and Milwaukee. It will be combined with GFConsulting, a division of Gordon Flesch Co., giving the combination a clientele of more than 400 businesses in the region. The combined unit will have roughly 75 employees.
"ITP is one of the premier (managed service providers) in Wisconsin and has a great reputation for delivering strong technical support and solutions to the customers they serve," said Patrick Flesch, president of Gordon Flesch Co., in a statement. "Their strong technical team and operational maturity will be a great addition to the current team that GFConsulting has built over the years. This acquisition underscores GFC's commitment to be the leading provider of technology solutions in the markets we serve."
Gordon Flesch Co. employs more than 600 people throughout 26 offices in the Midwest, including Ohio, Illinois and Indiana.
ITP reported revenue of $9.5 million in 2018, up from $8.1 million in 2017. The company in 2019 made its fifth placement on the Inc. 5000, the largest list of the fastest-growing, privately held companies in the U.S., with a three-year revenue increase of 103% between 2016 and 2018.
The acquisition by Gordon Flesch Co. includes Pulse Board, a business intelligence dashboard owned by ITP that allows users to manage their IT in real time. Pulse Board does away with data reports sent to clients from their IT partners, which are "old" by the time they are received anyway, said Paul Hager, CEO and owner of ITP.
"I am excited for the opportunity to begin the next chapter in our story, as we join one of the oldest and most respected technology companies in the Midwest," Hager said. “The combined resources and reach of our two companies will be an unbeatable combination."
