The Wisconsin Technology Council is accepting applications from young companies interested in pitching their business to potential investors at the organization’s upcoming Early Stage Symposium.

The conference will be held Nov. 6-7 at the Monona Terrace Community Convention Center in Madison. Pitch opportunities include the Tech Council Investor Networks track, and the popular Elevator Pitch Olympics, in which startups will have just 90 seconds to present their business and make an impression. Pre-selected companies will also be provided with one-on-one meetings with targeted angel and venture investors, the organization said in its newsletter.

On Nov. 6, during the Tech Council Investor Networks Track, at least 25 companies from across the Midwest, representing industries as varied as biotech and mobile applications, will have the opportunity to give a five-minute presentation to investors, attend a networking reception, and have their executive summary published in an investor-only publication.

At the Pitch Elevator Olympics on Nov. 7, roughly 15 small business entrepreneurs will be given the opportunity to give a 90-second pitch in front of investor panelists and conference attendees, and receive feedback.

The deadline to apply is Sept. 20. More information can be found on the symposium website.
