Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak will be in Milwaukee next month to discuss the Internet of Things during a talk at the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts.
The event, which will take place Nov. 15, will feature a chat with Wozniak (otherwise known as "Woz") who will discuss founding Apple with his business partner Steve Jobs, new innovations for IoT solutions for businesses, and how technology will shape businesses of the future.
Tickets to the event, which is sponsored by U.S. Cellular, are free and available here. Wozniak is also holding a similar talk in Des Moines on Oct. 30.
Wozniak's role as a pioneer in the personal computer revolution and Jobs' right-hand-man have made him tech celebrity and cultural icon. Wozniak began designing the Apple I in 1975, which became the computer that launched Apple. He left Apple in 1985 and founded CL 9, which created the first universal remote. He is credited with launching several other businesses and is currently chief scientist at the data virtualization company Primary Data.
Wozniak has appeared on several television shows, such as The Big Bang Theory and Dancing With the Stars. He's also a recipient of the National Medal of Technology and a member of the Inventors Hall of Fame.
