Uber is now available to anyone in Wisconsin, from Kenosha to Solon Springs and everywhere in between.

Uber announced this week that its ride-sharing services are now available statewide, allowing Wisconsin residents to select from uberX rides, its most popular service, and uberXL rides, its service for parties up to six people. The news comes in advance of Startup Wisconsin Week, a week of startup events across the state that begins Nov. 5. It's partnering with Startup Wisconsin to give rides to event attendees all week long.

“Whether it’s serving as an alternative to drunk driving or offering a new, flexible way to earn money on your own schedule, we’re looking forward to serving riders and drivers in Wisconsin and learning more about how how Uber can extend transportation options for local communities,” Uber Spokesperson Charity Jackson said in a statement.

Uber first launched in Wisconsin in 2014 when it began operating in Milwaukee. It has since expanded to places like Madison, Eau Claire, and La Crosse in recent years. Uber first launched in 2010, and is reportedly eyeing an IPO in 2019.

Uber has made a push in recent years to expand its operations beyond city centers and dense suburbs, working to sign up drivers in more rural areas. In August, it announced its services were now available in the entire state of Texas.

The news comes as Uber also says its food delivery service, Uber Eats, expects to be available to more that 70 percent of the U.S. population by the end of the year.
