In May, we hosted The Inno-troduction, Wisconsin Inno’s official kickoff event aimed at meeting you, our readers, and the city’s tech and startup communities.

In the middle of October, we’ll be hosting our next State of Innovation meetup, which will bring together and highlight the top 25 under 25.

And today, we are pleased to announce our inaugural 50 on Fire, our winter awards bash.

50 on Fire is a celebration of innovators, big and small, people and organizations, across multiple categories. Though Wisconsin Inno primarily covers the states thriving startup, and tech ecosystems, we understand that these sectors don’t have an exclusiveness on innovation. The unbelievably talented marketer at your agency is innovative. The enterprise company that helps fuel your small business is innovative. The non-profit you donate to is innovative. Your favorite brewery is innovative.

Innovation is everywhere, help us find it so that we can award it!

We’ve officially opened up nominations; here’s what you need to know. Companies or people can be nominated, we accept self-nominations, and multiple nominations for the same person or company do not increase odds of winning. Why should you nominate? Here are few reasons why: it provides more visibility in the community to potential partners, investors and clients, it helps you build credibility and goodwill with existing clients and investors, and by highlighting locally relevant examples of business success, it will inspire others to follow in your footsteps.

We're accepting nominations in the following categories:

  • B2B
  • B2C
  • Education
  • Lifestyle
  • Healthcare/Medicine
  • Supporters
  • Marketing/Advertising

Selection Process: After the nominations close, the Wisconsin Inno and American Inno teams will review nominations. Based on information submitted by you and our market intelligence, we will whittle the list down to 50 winners. Then, in November we will announce the 2018 50 on Fire winners.

Over the following weeks, you’ll see profiles, stories and more about a handful of these fast-moving companies and entrepreneurs.

In December, we’ll host the big 50 on Fire event, celebrating the final 50 and unveiling the 7 ‘Blazers’ (a special designation awarded in each category, as selected by a panel of judges from the innovation community).

So, we invite you and your team, friends, family, finalists and nominees – and anyone that’s interested or invested in innovation – to join us at a big party stocked with tasty bites, cocktails, craft beer in December. (More details on 50 on Fire event coming soon).

Do you know an organization or individual setting the scene on Fire? Then tell us about and submit your 50 on Fire nomination now.
