Gener8tor has launched a new gBeta startup accelerator aimed at social impact companies and non-profits.
Gener8tor announced Monday the launch of gBETA Social Impact, a program designed to boost companies that are making a positive impact on the world. Five startups will be selected to the inaugural program, which will focus on companies impacting K-12 education.
“gBETA Social Impact is gener8tor’s newest, exciting program that will give entrepreneurs the resources and mentorship they need to make a difference in education in their communities,” gener8tor Co-Founder Joe Kirgues said in a statement. “Investing in our best and brightest has always been gener8tor’s mission, and this program does exactly that.”
Gener8tor, a nationally ranked startup accelerator, is partnering with American Family Insurance on its latest gBeta program, which will operate out of The Spark, AmFam's 158,000-square-foot building in the Capital East corridor of Madison.
gBeta Social Impact is just the latest niche accelerator program from gener8tor, which also recently launched an accelerator for artists and musicians.
“We could not be more excited to partner with gener8tor to make gBETA Social Impact a reality,” American Family Insurance Chief Business Development Officer Peter Gunder said in a statement. “One of the things that American Family Insurance is passionate about is our community, and this program is another way to make a substantial investment in the future.”
Gener8tor’s seven-week gBETA programs are free for early-stage companies. Gener8tor doesn't take equity in companies that participate in gBeta.
