AirDeck, a Madison startup that developed an on-demand presentation platform, has raised $3.4 million in a seed round that was backed by Wisconsin-based venture funds.

AirDeck, led by CEO and founder Jason Weaver, allows users to create, distribute and track narrated documents and presentations, such as webinars, sales presentations, new employee on-boarding guides and training programs, or investor pitch decks, allowing viewers to watch the presentation when it fits their schedule as opposed to viewing them live.

The round was led by Madison's Rock River Capital Partners and St. Louis-based Cultivation Capital. Other investment funds that participated in the round were Neenah-based Winnebago Seed Fund and Washington, D.C.-based Revolution's Rise of the Rest Seed Fund, which is backed by investors like Jeff Bezos and Tampa Bay Lightning owner Jeff Vinik.

“AirDeck has seen tremendous growth since launching the company this year," Weaver said. "It’s amazing to see immediate customer adoption within a variety of industries. This round of funding will allow us to further our platform vision and expand our team."

The new funding will be used to expand the company's sales and marketing teams and develop the platform, Weaver said.

"AirDeck is changing document communication as we know it," said Andy Walker, a partner at Rock River Capital Partners. "Business agreements, pitch decks, webinars, and sales contracts can now all be sent with narration. It’s amazing to see it in action."
