Madison-based DotCom Therapy, a startup that offers teletherapy services for speech, occupational, and behavioral health, has added more investors to grow its services.

The company, founded in 2015 by speech language pathologist Rachel Robinson, recently received investments from OSF Ventures, the venture capital arm of Peoria, Illinois-based health care system OSF Healthcare, and Birmingham, Alabama-based venture capital and private equity firm New Capital Partners, according to a press release from both investors.

According to filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, DotCom Therapy recently secured $4.25 million from two investors.

“We are pleased to partner with Rachel Robinson and Darcey Nett, CEO, to realize the vision they have established for DotCom Therapy,” said James Outland, managing partner at NCP, in a statement. “DotCom Therapy meets a critical need in the market, delivering teletherapy to schools as a viable solution for filling vacancies with qualified, experienced professionals. With what the team has established in its short history, NCP and OSF look forward to building on the momentum surrounding innovation in service delivery through DotCom Therapy.”

DotCom Therapy provides services to more than 250 schools across the U.S. The Series A funding will be applied toward growing the company's customer base and scale their services into health care systems.

“When bringing on partners, we wanted to find a team whose value exceeded beyond the financial investment," said Robinson, who is also president at DotCom Therapy. "Our company values a positive work culture, good people, and strong relationships. New Capital Partners and OSF checked all those boxes. These relationships will enable us to scale our practices to ensure quality therapy is accessible to everyone, everywhere. NCP’s experience and knowledge in the telehealth space will add unparalleled value to our team as we continue to grow.”

OSF HealthCare is launching a pilot using Dotcom Therapy for children who are on the autism spectrum. The pilot will be coordinated through OSF Saint Francis Medical Center and Children's Hospital of Illinois in Peoria, the company stated.

“As a health system, OSF has seen the increasing demand for behavioral health services, including the need for more support for children on the autism spectrum,” said Stan Lynall, vice president of OSF Venture Investments. “We are excited to join New Capital Partners in the latest investment round in DotCom Therapy. We’re also looking forward to the launch of a pilot program that will leverage DotCom Therapy to improve early identification of children with autism and offer early intervention services that impact a child’s ability to learn new skills.”
