The Green Bay-based TitletownTech Venture Fund has invested in a Seattle sports data analytics startup co-founded by a former professional basketball player.

Boost Technology Inc. uses artificial intelligence and computer vision to capture, analyze, and explain complex data for college sports teams. The platform connects machine learning algorithms to single-camera video footage and translates statistical models into written summaries and data visualizations.

“With the ever-changing landscape in sports, technology that can create efficient data channels for coaches and teams will be even more important. Boost is positioned to become a significant asset for coaches, conferences and leagues,” said Cordero Barkley, partner at TitletownTech and a former Division I basketball player.

Boost Technology Inc. was founded in 2016 by Mustafa Abdul-Hamid, who played collegiately at UCLA and later overseas, and Inga Nakhmanson.

Terms of the investment deal were not disclosed, but TitletownTech, a fund launched in partnership by the Green Bay Packers and Microsoft Corp., makes investments in the range of $100,000 to $1 million, but most often the investments range from $250,000 to $500,000.
