The Tennessee Small Business Development Center (TSBDC) will be providing a free workshop training for women-owned business.

Whether you are starting or growing your existing business, accountability is one of the most important action an entrepreneur can have in regards to their business. It allows us to stay focus on our goals to ensure that we get them done by turning our ideas into plans, plans into goals and goals into action.

The Business Woman Accountability for Success Workshop participants will learn the importance of credit and budgeting when it comes to business. They will learn about intellectual property and how to best protect their brand by using trademarks, copyrights, patents and trade secrets. We will also share information and resources on becoming certified as a minority and women-owned business and hear words of empowerment from our motivational guest speaker, Angela H. Brown, owner of D’SERV Professional Hair Care.

The Business Woman Accountability for Success facilitators include:

  • Angelic Mister, Small Business Coach at Operation Hope.
  • Lauren Brown, J.D., MBA, owner and lead consultant at LRB Global Consulting Services™.
  • Angela H. Brown, owner of D’SERV Professional Hair Care and motivational speaker.

A great first step is to join the TSBDC at the Business Woman Accountability for Success Workshop on June 14 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Southwest Tennessee Community College’s Maxine A. Smith Center, 8800 East Shelby Drive in Memphis. Lunch is provided.
