A local workforce technology company has rebranded with a new name, as Red e App is now Workrede.
The change in the company name reflects a shift up-market for the firm, according to a news release which calls Workrede a pathway to transform organizational communication from top-to-bottom and extract unrealized value.
“Our historic shift to Workrede is reflective of the modern, mobile workforce,” said Jonathan Erwin, CEO and founder of Workrede in the release. “Over the past 30 years, trends have focused on desktop workers with little regard for the power of mobile work, frontline workers and the mobile ecosystems that create organizational value. Employers taking the next step to consider the relationships, behaviors and needs of those workers will derive new levels of workforce optimization. It’s the next frontier of employee engagement and culture.”
Founded in 2011, the company has expanded by improving avenues for engagement, workflow automations and management of the mobile workforce, according to the release.
Workrede leverages a shift in the way companies assess their human capital, manage work tech and make decisions with the help of data and artificial intelligence. Workrede takes the critical next step of plotting a roadmap, integrating existing platforms and supporting the change management necessary for customer success.
By consolidating existing enterprise platforms and a suite of Workrede features, employees now have a centralized resource for effectiveness, the company says.

In 2019, we reported that Red e App had moved to the NuLu Entrepreneurial Hub at 900 E. Main St.
Workrede said over the past year, headcount is up 20%. "Revenue has grown 40% over last two years and expectations are for substantial growth year in 2024," the company added. It did not provide specific figures for employee count or revenue.
