Sprocket, a Paducah-based innovation hub, has recently announced that Terry Bradley has joined its board of directors, per a news release.

Bradley, who officially began his three-year term in August, has been serving as a senior vice president and chief deposit officer at Paducah Bank. Terry has been with the bank in various capacities since 2015, according to his LinkedIn profile.

“I am honored to join this amazing board of dedicated community members to serve toward the mission of Sprocket. The future is bright and I look forward to being a part of it,” Bradley said in the release.

Before his time with Paducah Bank, Bradley had worked at Regions Financial Corporation for more than 30 years as a vice president of national treasury management sales. He has been in the banking industry for close to 40 years.

Aside from his work duties, he has served as a board member and chairman of the board for both the Graves County Economic Development Group and Graves County Chamber of Commerce.

“We are excited to have Terry Bradley join the board of directors,” said Sprocket Board Chairman John Truitt in the release. “His experience in the financial sector and great reputation in the community will be real assets to Sprocket as we work to build the digital economy in Paducah and Western Kentucky. We look forward to what he brings to the team.”

Besides Truitt — who is the co-founder of Kalleo Technologies — and Bradley, the Sprocket board of directors is also composed of Treasure Ines Rivas-Hutchins, who is the CEO of INTEC Group; Julie Tennyson, an intellectual property (IP) attorney at Marcum Tennyson PLLC; Jared Riley, vice president of software engineering at Computer Services, Inc.; and John Woeltz, an entrepreneur and investor.

"His experience fostering individual, team, and business growth proves his dedication to entrepreneurship and innovation," said Sprocket Founder Monica Bilak of a Bradley in a statement. "His strategic, time-tested insights and experience will be instrumental in guiding us toward continued success."

Under the leadership of Bilak, Sprocket opened its offices at 3121 Broadway St. in Paducah in 2021.

Sprocket, a nonprofit organization, is part of GroWest (also directed by Bilak), one of six innovation hubs that make up KY Innovation. The others are Amplify Louisville, Awesome Inc (Lexington), Central Region Ecosystem for the Arts, Technology and Entrepreneurship (CREATE, Bowling Green), Bue North (Covington) and Shaping Our Appalachian Region (SOAR, Eastern Kentucky).

The organization has been able to attract a number of startups — Feedcoyote, HopFlyt, Seamly and Ewagers (to name just a few) — to the Paducah area through its co-sponsorship in the 1ST50K with Southeast Missouri-based Codefi and now its solo-sponsored competition NEXT50K, which begins this month. Both Feedcoyote and Seamly recently were named winners of the 2023 Render Competition. Feedcoyote was also named a Vogt Award winner for 2023.

On Sept. 28, Sprocket held its first TechXpo in downtown Paducah to give a spotlight to a few of its homegrown startups.
