Kimberly Halbauer, the Kentucky regional president of Fifth Third Bank, was recently named the latest member of Endeavor’s local board of directors, presiding over Kentucky, Indiana and Ohio.

“The entire Endeavor community is thrilled to welcome Kim to the board of directors. Her experience will serve Endeavor Entrepreneurs greatly as they continue to drive job creation, wealth creation and inspiration across the region,” said Jackson Andrews, the founding managing director of Endeavor Midwest, in the release.

Halbauer, who recently became a two-time honoree on Louisville Business First's Power 50 list, stepped into her current role at Fifth Third in October 2020.

She began her time with the bank in 1990 as a college student in the Cincinnati area, and rose up the ranks in a little more than 32 years. Before accepting her current position, she worked five years as the senior vice president for wealth and asset management for the Cincinnati market, the site of Fifth Third’s headquarters.

Fifth Third has the fourth highest market share in the Louisville region at 9.68% with $4.2 billion in deposits as of June 2022.

Halbauer, who also was named as one of our Enterprising Women in 2022, currently serves on several directors’ boards for various organizations in the region/state, including the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, Greater Louisville Inc. (GLI), Louisville Leadership Center (executive committee), Fund for the Arts, One West, One Southern Indiana and Thomas More University (board of trustees).

Halbauer fills a spot that had been vacated by Bryce Butler, founder and managing parter of Access Ventures, who stepped down at the end of his term. She becomes the most recent addition to the board after Kaveh Zamanian, the founder and CEO of Rabbit Hole Distillery, was announced in February. Zamanian started his journey with the global organization as Endeavor Entrepreneur in 2018.

In addition to Andrews and Zamanian, the other local Endeavor board members are: Ron Turnier, president, WhatChefsWant; Ankur Gopal, founder and CEO, Interapt; Brian Brackeen, general partner, Lightship Capital; Joe Kelley, president and CEO of Kelley Construction; Brook Smith, founder and CEO, Smith Manus Surety Bonds; Matt Thornton, founder and partner, Thornton Capital; Greg Pope, Louisville office managing partner, Ernst & Young; Stacy Griggs, CEO, El Toro; and Doug Grissom, managing director, Madison Dearborn Partners.

Founded in 1997, Endeavor has a global presence in more than 40 countries. Its current list of more than 2,000 high-growth entrepreneurs have combined revenues of more than $43 million while employing more than 3.4 million, according to a release. Local startups/companies who are part of the Endeavor community include RxLightning, El Toro, BehaVR, SkuVault, AppHarvest, Interapt and Switcher Studio.
