The co-founder of a Louisville-area health tech startup is the latest Endeavor Entrepreneur — and she’s the first woman selected to join the organization’s Midwest office.

Julia Regan co-founder and CEO of New Albany, Indiana-based RxLightning, was selected as an Endeavor Entrepreneur through an unanimous vote at the 94th International Selection Panel (ISP) held in Greece last week, according to a news release.

Endeavor’s International Selection Panel is the culmination of a rigorous multi-step selection process to identify high-impact entrepreneurs. These entrepreneurs have demonstrated the potential to leverage Endeavor’s resources and mentorship to create large-scale wealth and jobs. They are also committed to reinvesting time and money in their local entrepreneurship ecosystems, the release said.

RxLightning, founded in 2020, is a technology platform that connects doctors, patients, pharmacies and drug manufacturers to reduce the time it takes for a patient to start critical medication from multiple weeks to less than two days or even hours. The platform streamlines processes for doctors, patients, drug manufacturers and specialty pharmacies, resulting in cost reduction and increased revenue for specialty pharmacies and drug manufacturers, as well as faster access to life-saving medications for patients, the release continued.

As the "smart DocuSign for healthcare" RxLightning plans to become the dominant player that brings digital transformation to healthcare segments still reliant on manual paper processes.

The company, which has raised more than $8 million in venture capital, is one of KY Inno’s Startups to Watch in 2022.

“The rate of growth that Julia is driving at RxLightning since founding the company in 2020 is nothing short of remarkable,” said Jackson Andrews, founding managing director of Endeavor Midwest. “We are confident Julia & her team will build a multibillion-dollar company that creates high-quality jobs and opportunities across the region and beyond. Endeavor could not be more proud to support Julia and RxLightning on their high-growth journey.”

At the Greece ISP, panelists from around the world interviewed entrepreneur candidates about their businesses, evaluating them on their potential for high-impact growth, and then deliberated on which candidates should be selected to become Endeavor Entrepreneurs. Regan was selected by panelists Alex Chatzieleftheriou co-founder and CEO, Blueground; Mariano Gomide de Faria, co-founder and CEO, VTEX; Mohamed Azab, co-founder and CEO, Grinta; Peter de Caluwe, founder and CEO, Thunes; Songe LaRon, co-founder and CEO, SQUIRE Technologies; and Steven Galanis, co-founder and CEO, Cameo.

As part of Endeavor’s global network, Regan will gain access to comprehensive, strategic, global support services, including introductions to local and international business mentors, investors and volunteers from Fortune 500 consulting firms who will help them address key needs. Endeavor Entrepreneurs have had a significant track record of impact. In 2021, Endeavor Entrepreneurs employed more than 3.4 million people and generated more than $42 billion in revenues.

When speaking on what excites her most about joining the Endeavor network, Regan mentioned the relationships within the network.

“The caliber of entrepreneurs and companies are beyond what I could have imagined. Being able to network and learn from so many extremely successful founders and companies is a privilege,” she said in the release. “I’ve already formed relationships with founders across the world that I know will help me lead RxLightning to the next level.”

Julia Regan joins the Endeavor network through the regional Endeavor affiliate office that operates in Louisville, Kentucky, Indianapolis, Indiana, and Cincinnati, Ohio. Julia charts history as the first female entrepreneur to be selected into Endeavor from the region, and joins 21 other Endeavor Entrepreneurs, including Interapt (Ankur Gopal), Solo Funds (Travis Holoway), BehaVR (Aaron Gani), Rivera Group (Joey Rivera, Ph.D), Red e App (Jonathan Erwin and Patrick Goodman), El Toro (Stacy Griggs), SkuVault (Andy Eastes and Slav Ivanyuk), EdjSports (Sean O’Leary), Handle (Kyle Green), MXD Process (Mark Franco), Rabbit Hole Distillery (Kaveh Zamanian), Hot Chicken Takeover (Joe DeLoss), Capture Higher Ed (Steve Huey, Len Napolitano, and Eric Shriner), AppHarvest (Jonathan Webb), Switcher Studio (Nick Mattingly), AboutBit (Stacy Griggs and Dan Kimball) and LISNR (Rodney Williams).

“No surprise, whatsoever! We congratulate Julia on her well-deserved Endeavor selection,” said Matt Thornton, chair of the Endeavor Midwest board of directors. “We are very proud of her and our association with RxLightning.”
