Non-fungible token owners traveled from as far away as New Zealand to attend the Party Horses' party in Louisville.
The exclusive event, held at the Ice House, kicked off at 10 p.m. on Oaks Night and continued into the wee hours of Saturday morning. Diplo, a DJ and member of Major Lazer, and DJ Irie both performed at the event.
In case you're unfamiliar with the Party Horses, it's a Louisville-based company that's created a collection of generative non-fungible tokens (NFTs) with tangible, real-world benefits like rare bottles of Maker's Mark bourbon and tickets to exclusive events, like the one mentioned above.
Check out some photos of the event in the gallery below.

Serial entrepreneur Justin Delaney is at the helm as CEO. Party Horses' team also includes Louisville investor Brook Smith, entrepreneur Chris Wiedmar, marketing executive Joey Wagner, Facebook engineer Izaak Prats, NFT expert and designer Zach Jenkins, and local artist Robby Davis, among others.
Roughly 1,200 individuals bought 3,300 Party Horses NFTs, which sold for more than $1.3 million in a 48-hour window in March. About a third of those folks got tickets to the Oaks Night event.
Party Horses wasn't the first venture to create utility NFTs — adding value to the NFT outside of the digital artwork itself — but it's among the first to tackle ticketing for experiences that blend current events with the emerging world of web3.

"There's really nothing that's been built in the space yet around ticketing and redemption so that's something that we've seen a lot of opportunity in," Wiedmar said in a previous interview. "It's pretty cool that we've cracked the code while working on this project."
