A Louisville company with an international presence is expanding its local footprint with a new facility.

Lifelines Neuro, which develops mobile and portable electroencephalography (EEG) devices, is leasing a 7,400-square-foot space at 909 E. Market St., between Akasha Brewing Co. and Feast BBQ. It made a $100,000 investment in leasehold improvements to the facility.

The new space is adjacent to the company's current third-floor offices at The Center by SIDIS, 900 E. Main St., which it shares with sister company, AdaptivEndo. SIDIS is the parent of both medical device companies.

Lifelines Neuro was established in 2019 through a merger of three companies: Louisville-based MobileMedTek, London, UK-based Lifelines Ltd. and St. Louis-based Lifelines Neurodiagnostic Systems Inc.

With the opening of the new facility, the team of technical professionals who assemble, quality test and ship Lifelines Neuro EEG products have relocated to Louisville from the St. Louis metro area. The move brings the production, operations, and research and development engineering teams together for enhanced collaboration to provide customer insights to drive product development and innovation, according to a news release.

“While this is expanding our footprint in Louisville, it is, more importantly, bringing together the technical teams who can now physically collaborate on inspired designs and user experience for people using our products,” said Devin Ferrey, interim CEO of Lifelines Neuro, in the release. “It also functions as a proper warehouse, enabling efficient production and shipping of our products across the globe.”

Lifelines Neuro now has 18 employees in Louisville, 11 in St. Louis, 10 in London and 20 working remotely, mostly in the U.S.

In 2022, the company will introduce several new products into the in-home EEG market as well as hospital markets. Lifelines Neuro will also be a part of the American Society of Electroneurodiagnostic Technologists (ASET) Conference in August, an event that will bring more than 700 attendees to Louisville.
