Four Kentucky-based startup companies have been selected for Launch Blue's third pre-accelerator program cohort.

The pre-accelerator is for individuals with technology-based startups that are interested in raising their first seed round and have the potential to grow into a highly-scalable, profitable company. Candidates were vetted through a competitive application and interview process, and the final selections for the fall 2021 cohort were determined by a selection committee that was appointed by Launch Blue's advisory board.

The 12-week program focuses on training tech startup founders in lean startup practices while working to develop a scalable, repeatable business model. The program’s "kill fast" approach compels founders to prove their hypotheses through customer discovery and early customer traction, according to a news release.

"We are excited to start our third pre-seed accelerator cohort this fall and to work with such a diverse group of founders and tech startups," said Laura Halligan, executive director of Launch Blue, in the release.

These are the four companies in the new cohort:

  • Cellie Coping Company (Lexington) — Founded by Meghan Marsac, Cellie Coping Co. empowers kids and families to live life to its fullest, even in times of a crisis such as a diagnosis of a medical condition.
  • ErgoGamer (Lexington) — Founded by CEO Olivia Wang, ErgoGamer is a gaming accessory company focused on the wellness of gamers. The ICON is ErgoGamer’s inaugural product, here to transform the way gamers play by elevating them into a new position of wellness.
  • Social Summary (Versailles) — Co-founded by Isaac Archer and Josh Johnson, Social Summary strives to create informed social circles and networks through advanced social media aggregation. Its platform creates a social media snapshot, highlighting key interests and hobbies, that can be shared with others in a private, dedicated space, facilitating easy icebreakers and conversation starters.
  • Water Warriors (Lexington) — Led by CEO John Gradek, Water Warriors is focused on making the world's water supply safer and cleaner through innovative, new products designed to revolutionize how water professionals remove harmful nutrients from water.

Launch Blue will begin taking applications for its spring pre-seed accelerator cohort later this year. You can find more information on that here.
