Launch Blue Demo Day: Eight Kentucky startups pitch to global investors during virtual event

Launch Blue hosted its annual Demo Day Wednesday, this time showcasing regional startups to a virtual audience.

Stonks.com, a virtual demo day hosting platform, is based in Silicon Valley. This allowed access to the program from investors across the world.

Launch Blue, led by Executive Director Laura Halligan, offers accelerator and incubator programs for tech startups.

Each of the startups in the program were raising a pre-seed or seed round. They also presented in front of an investor panel, including individuals from Sixty8 Capital, M25 and Capital Factory. Eight of the nine startups are based in Kentucky.

“We’re excited to partner with Stonks to expose our startups to their audience of investors around the world,” Halligan in a news release.

Here’s each startup that was featured:

Cellie Coping Company
Meghan Marsac
Dr. Meghan Marsac, a licensed pediatric psychologist, is the founder of Lexington, Kentucky-based Cellie Coping Co.
Mark Mahan Mahan Multimedia

Kentucky-based Cellie Coping Co. has a mission of supporting children and families after a medical diagnosis. The company creates “coping kits” designed to help children and their families face challenges posed by their illnesses. Cellie is raising $100,000.

Fair Chance Works

Fair Chance Works is based in London, Kentucky. It is raising $500,000 in a seed round. It’s focused on reforging America’s workforce and bring the people who have left the labor force back to work.

Learnhall

Learnhall is based in South Bend, Indiana. It’s a platform where educators teach Nigerian students job and business skills through hybrid online courses. It is raising $175,000 in pre-seed funding round.

Melanated Healthcare

Louisville-based Melanated Healthcare is a digital health platform that connects people of color to culturally congruent health professionals with the mission of decreasing health disparities. It’s raising $250,000 in a pre-seed funding round.

Moolathon

Moolathon, a social fundraising platform and fitness tracker.

Louisville-based Moolathon is a social fundraising platform and fitness tracker that allows organizations and individuals to raise money based on the miles ran, walked or biked. It is raising $1 million in a seed round.

Neocycl

Neocycl has roots in Kentucky, Idaho and Scotland. Its mission is to provide critical metals for the sustainable future, starting with copper. It is raising $1.5 million in pre seed funding.

Louisville-based PAV*R is a time management app that syncs with Google Calendar. It tracks time, creates visual reports and exports calendar events to a spreadsheet. It’s raising $1 million in a seed funding round.

RSET

RSET is based in Lexington and is a software that turns any 3D scan into an immersive, customary training scenario. This is meant to provide training to military and first responders. It’s raising $500,000 in a seed funding round.

Xpressrun

Louisville-based XpressRun leverages the power of predictive analytics to enable smarter inventory placement and same day delivery at ground shipping rates. It is raising $500,000 in a pre-seed funding round.
