Brief company description: Rivergreen Cocktails are premium, canned cocktails made with real fruit juices, natural sweeteners and sparkling water. With an alcohol beverage volume (ABV) of 12%, they are crafted to taste like a cocktail you would order at a bar or restaurant, but in the convenience of a can.
What are some major milestones in the company’s history? Our sponsorship with Lou City FC/Racing FC at Lynn Family Stadium and the Bats at Louisville Slugger Field, the opportunity to sell our cocktails in Kroger Wine & Spirits stores throughout Kentucky — and an invitation to enter the Ohio market.
What is your company working on right now? We are in the middle if fundraising, and we will be closing our round within the next several weeks. With the additional capital, we will be purchasing larger equipment to manufacture and scaling the business. ... We are excited about hiring more people to add to our sales and marketing team.
What’s on the horizon for your company in 2024? We will be entering the Ohio market this month and we are exited about the opportunities to expand. ... We will begin e-commerce this month, and will be capable of shipping to 41 states. We are looking forward to growing the business this year.
Why grow your company in/from Kentucky (or Southern Indiana, if applicable)? We are registered Kentucky Proud business. We self-manufacture in Kentucky and have worked hard to make our cocktails available throughout the state. Kentucky is my home, and the place that I am raising my children. I wouldn't consider growing my company anywhere else. I look forward to being able to give back to the community that has given me incredible support and opportunity.
Give us one bold prediction in 2024 for startups, technology or venture capital/fundraising. I am unsure of a prediction, but my hope is that entrepreneurs will have an easier time raising money to support their startup business.
