Without further delay, we're excited to announce our first-ever KY Inno Madness winner: VividCharts!
The No. 4 seeded startup overtook No. 1 seed FreshFry in the final round, with roughly 62% of the votes. It was a classic Lexington versus Louisville rivalry matchup — but no sports necessary.
Since March 1, KY Inno Madness had nearly 8,000 votes spread between the 32 companies that were vying for the inaugural title. As we've mentioned before, that's the whole point of the friendly competition: Raising awareness for the innovative companies Kentucky has to offer. So in that sense, it's a win for the commonwealth, too.
Check out how the bracket played out in the graphic below.
Founded in 2018, VividCharts is led by CEO and co-founder Mitch Stutler. The Lexington-based company offers a data visualization platform that helps ServiceNow customers to generate and distribute real-time reports that make data-focused decisions easy and efficient.
In 2021, VividCharts raised a $2 million seed round, led by Airwing Ventures, to meet demand from Fortune 1000 companies, according to a news release. At the time, the company said it had more than doubled its business in each of the first three years it has been in existence, and planned to do it again in 2022.
I'll be reaching out to VividCharts with our congratulations, and hopefully, I'll be able to do a story on what's been driving that impressive growth. Stay tuned!
