We've made it to the championship KY Inno Madness matchup.
With more than 2,800 votes in the semifinal round, No. 4 VividCharts overtook No. 8 Black Business Boxes with 52% of the vote, and No. 1 FreshFry beat No. 7 Symba with 54% of the vote. Which means, FreshFry and VividCharts are facing off in the final round.
Louisville-based FreshFry, founded in 2014, is led by CEO and co-founder Jeremiah Chapman. The company has developed an all-natural, plant-based pod that extends the life of frying oil by collecting and dissolving impurities, ultimately saving restaurant operators time, labor and cost.
Founded in 2018, VividCharts is led by CEO and co-founder Mitch Stutler. The Lexington-based company offers a data visualization platform that helps ServiceNow customers to generate and distribute real-time reports that make data-focused decisions easy and efficient.
Both companies have raised venture capital fairly recently. In 2020, FreshFry got a $3.75 million investment led by Lightship Capital, and in 2021, VividCharts secured $2 million in seed funding in a round led by Airwing Ventures.
Who will be crowned the inaugural KY Inno Madness champion? That's for you to decide. Vote now through 11:59 p.m. Sunday, March 27. We'll announce the winner on Monday, March 28.
