How did you get into the career you have today? My creation of Legal Gantt as it is the intersection of my drive to make a difference in underserved communities and my legal experiences. I observed a disconnect between attorneys and their clients that my interest in technology could solve. I want to leave a legacy of better opportunities for future generations.

What’s one thing Louisville can do to improve its tech and/or startup ecosystem? Continue providing programs like Amplify that help founders connect with industry leaders, other founders, and investors.

Who has been one of your top mentors? Why? I would have to say I have a group of mentors consisting of both family and friends. Depending on the situation, each mentor provides me with a different perspective to help me fully capture the overall image.

What’s your best piece of advice for companies and individuals looking to be more innovative and disruptive in their fields? In business, the answer is never no. There always a way. The barrier to your success does not lie within the issue itself but within your ability to innovate beyond the issue. To find inspiration for innovation, seek out your purpose and combine it with your skill set.

What accomplishment are you most proud of? Founding Legal Gantt.

What innovative company (other than your own) do you admire and why? Tesla because it is one of the most innovative companies in the world. Against all odds, Tesla entered the automotive industry and disrupted it as a whole, leading to a substantial increase in electric cars.
