How did you get into the career you have today? I was exposed to engineering at a very young age through science fairs and helping start my high school robotics team at Manual High School. The experiences taught me similar skills I use every day for Pascal. I used my love for entrepreneurship and innovation to be a University Innovation Fellow through Stanford University to learn skills to build the entrepreneurship and innovation club at the University of Louisville. What I learned from the Stanford Fellowship put me in the right position to make Pascal.

What’s one thing Louisville can do to improve its tech and/or startup ecosystem? Continue to develop an infrastructure of more maker spaces and co-working spaces to have more events that allow anyone to come up with startup ideas with the resources to quickly test their ideas.

Who has been one of your top mentors? Why? Robert Manasier. He was the facilitator at Louisville Startup weekend when I pitched the idea that would eventually become Pascal Tags. His honest feedback and entrepreneurial experiences have been fundamental to lean on to get an outside perspective to help make the right decisions.

What’s your best piece of advice for companies and individuals looking to be more innovative and disruptive in their fields? Never say no to new ideas as the best solutions are always from an outside perspective.

What accomplishment are you most proud of? Being able to pilot our innovative technology with multiple Fortune 700 level companies.

What innovative company (other than your own) do you admire and why? Tesla. The ability for Tesla to notice a problem in an old industry (automotive) that has been around for so long and create an effective solution that completely brings an industry into the 21st century.
