KCSourceLink lists watch list of area startups poised for growth

Technology companies dominate the list of area startups that KCSourceLink says are ripe for growth.

The entrepreneurial support organization’s 2022-23 “watch list” is made up of local startups or scaling companies set up for growth by making use of local resources. All of the companies have received equity funding or grants in 2020 and 2021, or two investments or grants in 2021, KCSourceLink said in an announcement on its website. The companies also got support from organizations such as Digital Sandbox KC, Pipeline Entrepreneurs, LaunchKC and the University of Missouri-Kansas City Business and Technology Development Center.

Companies on the watch list are:

Approach App by Tile Five — An app that helps fitness businesses, yoga studios and climbing  gyms track and manage members. Olathe-based Tile Five raised $1.5 million in the third quarter of 2021, and co-founder Luke Lim was named one of Pipeline Inc.’s 2020 fellows.

AZELLA Advisor — A platform that helps develop marketing for independent financial advisers. The company, based in Grain Valley, was on the KC Inno list of

Daupler Inc. — The Kansas City-based developer of solutions to help cities, utilities and service providers respond to incidents secured a $4 million funding round in 2021 

Enduralock — A Lenexa-based company that produces innovative fasteners for defense and aerospace customers. In May, it won a U.S. Small Business Administration competition for national security and defense companies. 

PlanIT Impact Inc. — A Kansas City-based company’ technology provides construction, architecture and engineering firms with information to provide cost-effective sustainability features. The company had $1 million in revenue in 2021.

PMI Rate Pro — A developer of technology to help mortgage loan officers compare rates for homebuyers. The Overland Park-based company ranks No. 14 on the Kansas City Business Journal’s list of area fintech companies.

ShotTracker — The Merriam-based developer of sensor technology for sports teams raised $11 million in a 2021 funding round led by Evertz Technologies Ltd. and Verizon Ventures

TripleBlind — A Kansas City-based company whose technology allow the secure sharing of regulated and private data raised a $24 million round in 2021 from investors including Flyover Capital and KCRise Fund.

Veeper —The Kansas City-based startup tracks and applies customer discount codes. It was a winner of Render Capital’s pitch competition in 2021, which came with an investment of $100,000
