New product launches are a frequent topic of articles in the Kansas City Business Journal. Today, we introduce a launch of our own.

KC Inno — which you’ll find at KCInno.com — is a new home for coverage focused on entrepreneurs, intrapreneurs, and the companies and ideas driving innovation in the Kansas City area. Leslie Collins, who leads editorial efforts for this new offering, brings more than seven years of experience covering entrepreneurship and technology for KCBJ. She’s joined by her colleagues in the newsroom in generating this coverage.

KC Inno will feature news about startup-stage companies, new products and services, and funding efforts. Profile stories will introduce you to rising entrepreneurs and forward thinkers and delve deeper into what’s driving innovative companies in our community. The publication also includes guides to the innovation community and will include listings of local events and jobs.

Although KC Inno focuses on people and companies in our community, our aim is to connect the local entrepreneurial crowd with the larger Kansas City business community and a nationwide audience.

Kansas City Business Journal readers will receive KC Inno as part of their subscriptions. On a wider scale, the American Inno network has had publications in several markets for the past few years and now is expanding throughout American City Business Journals markets nationwide. This means KC Inno readers will benefit from intelligence and context gleaned from Inno outlets in more than 40 markets — and we’ll have another means of sharing the great things happening and growing in the Kansas City area.
