Jacksonville-based internet service provider IQ Fiber announced Monday it will expand its service further in Jacksonville as well as moving to a new headquarters.

IQ Fiber plans to continue its Jacksonville expansion with the addition of Arlington, Fort Caroline, Ponte Vedra Beach and Fruit Cove along with extensions to its San Pablo and Intracoastal West deployments.

The company has secured a lease to move and expand its headquarters to The Summit at Southpoint, 6410 Southpoint Parkway to support the company’s rapid growth.

The 15,000-square-foot headquarters will house the IQ Fiber's administrative, network engineering and customer contact center operations. IQ Fiber will move to the new location in June.

Opened in 2022, the first headquarters of 6,600 square feet is located 8787 Perimeter Park Blvd. The Perimeter Park location is now listed for sale with Foundry Commercial representing building owner Chint Properties. Foundry Commercial also represented both IQ Fiber and The Summit for the new office lease.

Building on the company’s success in Jacksonville, IQ Fiber launched service in Gainesville last week. The Gainesville network marks the company’s first expansion outside of the Jacksonville area.

In addition, the company now serves over 100 private communities in North Florida and continues to work with apartment owners, condominium associations and private gated communities to bring IQ Fiber service to their residents. The company has grown to over 140 employees, the majority of whom are based in Jacksonville.

“We are excited to bring a modern internet choice to even more neighborhoods across Jacksonville,” said Ted Schremp, CEO of IQ Fiber.

The IQ Fiber network consists of underground conduit and fiber-optic cables extending from the core internet backbone directly into individual homes, allowing for the fastest internet speeds available while supporting the explosive growth in internet usage and demand, according to a company statement.

IQ Fiber is privately funded and launched in August 2021.
