33 First Coast companies — including some newcomers — make Inc. 5000 list

Thirty-three First Coast companies made the Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing companies in the nation, with the highest-ranked local business getting on the list for the first time.

Four area businesses broke into the top 1,000, with SmarterVitamins of Green Cove Springs getting the top local spot. The company, which manufactures supplements, posted a 2,992% growth rate over the past three years, bringing it in at No. 137.

This is the company’s first year on the list.

Making return appearances on the magazine’s annual list of top-growth companies are Wellbox, a Jacksonville-based health management company that posted a 707% three-year growth rate; and Real Advisors, a financial education company in Atlantic Beach that saw revenues grow 570%.

Placing No. 689 this year, Wellbox was No. 201 in 2020. Real Advisors, which came in at No. 859 this year, was No. 80 in 2020 and No. 281 in 2019.

Rounding out the local representation in the top 1,000 was Jacksonville-based Avecina Medical, coming in at No. 956 with a growth rate of 503%, its first time on the list.

Real estate and health care-related companies have about a third of the First Coast’s representation on the 2021 Inc. 5000, which also include local companies active in construction, logistics, manufacturing and more.

Most of the are companies were from Jacksonville, although three are based in Ponte Vedra Beach and three others in St. Augustine. One Orange Park company made the list.
