CEO Name: Ted Schremp

Company Name: IQ Fiber

Industry: Tech Services/Internet Service Provider

Number of Employees: 53

What’s been the biggest challenge your organization has overcome this year?

2022 was a great year for IQ Fiber. We put in a year of planning, design and construction and overcame a myriad of challenges with supply chain and hiring to deploy and activate our network. We’re now able to serve thousands of homes in Duval County and are expanding into Clay County. We have also hired over 50 employees, all based right here in Jacksonville and opened both our Administrative Support Center and our Engineering and Technology Support Center.

What was your biggest success?

We’ve had so many successes this year that it’s hard to pick one. From that first drill in the ground, to opening our headquarters office, and then activating our network and turning on that first customer were all huge highlights, but it turns out that our growth over the last few months has eclipsed those moments. We are thrilled every time we release more homes for service, and we still celebrate every single new customer. We just got back our first scorecard on our service and it shows that our customers love us as much as we love them!

What have you learned over the course of the year that will influence how you approach 2023?

Our 2023 is focused on deploying our network to more homes throughout Northeast Florida. We’ve learned to mitigate the risks in our construction schedules and build processes to better execute with greater scale. We have started to serve our first customers and we’re getting great feedback to help us become the best high-speed internet service choice in America.

What challenges do you expect on the horizon?

To manage the growth we have planned in 2023, we expect to have some challenging months. But, as a newer business, we look at each obstacle as something to overcome as a team and we’ve been successful at doing that.
