InnovateEnergy Week set to bring energy tech leaders and robots to Houston
Energy tech leaders will be discussing the latest innovations in drones, robotics and immersive tech — from hardware and software options and service providers to pilot program implementation and scaling

InnovateEnergy, a Houston-based community-driven media company focused on emerging tech in the energy sector, is hosting InnovateEnergy Week Oct.25-29, 2021. The event is a convergence of four niche summits: the Energy Drone & Robotics Summit, the Industrial Digital Twin Summit, the Industrial XR Global Summit and the Energy EdgeTECH Summit.

“We’re excited to, for the first time, bring these four summits together under the InnovateEnergy Week banner,” said Sean Guerre, director of InnovateEnergy. “By having all four Summits in Houston the same week, we’re giving heads of innovation, R&D and emerging technologies at energy companies the opportunity to see, hear and connect with multiple solutions and fellow energy companies to benchmark their digitization programs and gain new partnerships.”

Throughout the week, live and in-person events will take place at the Woodlands Waterway Marriott, and attendees can view sessions from around the world with virtual on-demand options. More than 500 in-person attendees are expected to attend including tech leaders from ExxonMobil, Shell, Chevron, Baker Hughes, Schlumberger, Aramco, Dow, Fluor, Xcel Energy and Vistra Energy.

Energy tech leaders will be discussing the latest innovations in drones, robotics and immersive tech — from hardware and software options and service providers to pilot program implementation and scaling. Sessions from leading industry experts include:

  • Enterprise-Level Energy UAV/Robotics Programs – Building the Technical and Business Case.
  • Effectively Using Augmented Reality for Industrial Training.
  • Energy Robotics Roundtable: Autonomous Operations & Successful Enterprise Deployments- Ground, Air and Sea.
  • Digital Twins and XR for the Industrial & Energy Environment: Driving Tangible Benefits
  • And dozens more.

The expo halls will feature displays and demos from leading providers in immersive and 3D tech, wearables, drones, robotics and more. Attendees can see and demo drones, including heavy lift, quads, octo, e-vtols and fixed wing, and robots, including inspection, maintenance, crawlers, blasters, sniffers and repair robots, specifically for energy and industrial applications. Boston Dynamics will be bringing the famed dog-like agile robot, SPOT, to showcase how it’s being used in energy and utility operations.

The week won’t be all business; several networking and social events are planned, including the Oktoberfest Reception on Tuesday and Thursday nights. “While we’re here to learn, it’s also about networking and enjoying what Houston has to offer,” said Guerre, who has called Houston home for most of his career. “We expect attendees will congregate for lunch meetings, dinners out and sightseeing to soak up the great city of Houston.”

InnovateEnergy Week is a unique opportunity for energy technology and innovation leaders to congregate and see the latest in drones, robotics and immersive tech, specifically for the energy marketplace, all in one place.
