Houston-based HungerRush announced new moves for its leadership team on Feb. 14, several months after a similar wave of hires and promotions.

The restaurant software management company hired David Tabachnick as CFO. He replaces Venkat Santhanaraman, who left his position in December 2022, according to his LinkedIn page. The Houston Business Journal reached out to confirm Santhanaraman's departure.

Tabachnick joined HungerRush from Boston-based digital marketing company Acoustic LP, where he served as chief account executive. He has previous experience in the quick-service restaurant industry as the CFO for Boston-based restaurant platform provider UpServe, prior to its $430 million acquisition by Lightspeed.

HungerRush hired Patrick Hughes as vice president of finance to work alongside Tabachnick. Hughes also worked at Lightspeed as well as TripAdvisor (Nasdaq: TRIP).

HungerRush also appointed Jim DaBroi to the position of COO. He replaced Greg Davis, who left the company in September 2022 to become CEO of Oregon-based tech startup Bigleaf Networks. DaBroi previously worked at PayPal (Nasdaq: PYPL) and LinkedIn before joining HungerRush this year.

Other HungerRush appointments include Ashishh Desai as vice president of I/O (input/output) sales. Desai joins from Menufy, an e-commerce and point-of-sales platform startup based in Kansas City that HungerRush acquired in 2021.

HungerRush’s new appointments follow a series of changes the company announced in November. The company promoted Olivier Thierry to chief revenue officer and named Dean Thompson chief sales officer, along with other vice president moves.

In June 2022, New York-based private equity firm Corsair acquired the majority stake in HungerRush from previous investor The CapStreet Group, which continued as a minority investor. CEO Perry Turbes told the Houston Business Journal in July 2022 that the company plans to accelerate its inorganic growth.

In 2021, HungerRush acquired New York-based online ordering and digital marketing company 9Fold as well as Menufy. A spokesperson confirmed in November that HungerRush has over 500 employees across the U.S.
