Houston-based HungerRush announced a wave of hires and promotions for its leadership team Nov. 8
HungerRush, which provides point-of-sale restaurant management software, announced that Olivier Thierry would be promoted to chief revenue officer from his previous position of chief product and marketing officer. Thierry joined HungerRush in May 2021 and will lead the company’s combined marketing and sales teams.
Dean Thompson, HungerRush’s chief customer and growth officer, was appointed chief sales officer. Thompson joined the company in November 2021 from Centrify.
HungerRush hired Josh Desmond to serve as vice president of sales, targeting multi-unit sales in partnership with Thompson.
The company made several moves in its growth teams, with Sohiela Magidi and Hoang Nguyen moving into the roles of senior vice president for enterprise customer experience and vice president of customer success and growth, respectively.
“It is an exciting time for our company, and we are building a world-class team with all of the diverse and relevant talent to continue driving growth for HungerRush,” HungerRush CEO Perry Turbes said in the Nov. 8 announcement.
In June 2022, New York-based private equity firm Corsair acquired the majority stake in HungerRush from previous investor The CapStreet Group, which continued as a minority investor. Turbes told the Houston Business Journal in July 2022 that the company plans to accelerate its inorganic growth.
In 2021, HungerRush acquired New York-based online ordering and digital marketing company 9Fold and Leawood, Kansas-based Menufy, which focuses on e-commerce and restaurant point-of-sale systems.
A spokesperson confirmed to the Houston Business Journal that HungerRush had 500 employees across all of its U.S. locations.
