Houston-based recovery and wellness brand iCryo announced an executive reshuffle on Nov. 2.
Scott Briner, the company's former chief administration officer, moved into the COO position, while co-founder and former COO Kyle Jones now serves as the chief innovation and branding officer.
Founded by Jones and his father Bill in 2015 in League City, iCryo provides cryotherapy — or the super-cooling of the body for therapeutic purposes — and other wellness services through retail locations or additions to gyms or other existing businesses. The company was one of more than 80 Houston-based firms on the 2022 Inc. 5000 list, a ranking of privately held, for-profit businesses by revenue growth from 2018 to 2021.
Before he became chief administration officer for iCryo in 2019, Briner previously served as the company's vice president of professional services and vice president of marketing and business development. He was the CEO of Sweeny Community Hospital in Sweeny, Texas, before joining iCryo.
"My passion for health and wellness is what brought me to iCryo, and I look forward to continuing to grow with the company for many years to come," Briner said. "As we offer more medical-related services to the public, we'll be able to pinpoint specific needs and find a solution to various problems."
Currently, iCryo operates 200 franchise locations throughout the United States with plans to expand to 1,000 locations worldwide. In January 2022, iCryo announced a partnership with 24 Hour Fitness to provide services to 24 Hour Fitness club locations.
