Tech firm Pros names former Chevron exec to board

Houston-based Pros Holdings Inc. (NYSE: PRO) has appointed a former Chevron executive to its board of directors.

Leland "Lee" T. Jourdan was elected as an independent director effective immediately, with an initial term expiring in 2024, Pros said in a June 1 filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

Jourdan spent 18 years with San Ramon, California-based Chevron Corp. (NYSE: CVX) in senior management positions, having recently retired after serving as the energy giant's chief diversity and inclusion officer. He also worked as Chevron's senior management sponsor and as vice president of commercial and business development in IndoAsia and South Asia. Jourdan has also held roles with El Paso Energy, PG&E Corp. (NYSE: PCG) and Dominion Energy (NYSE: D).

"The last 12-18 months has fundamentally impacted so many aspects of business — including how they further adopt digital selling motions to best engage customers," Jourdan said. "I look forward to sharing my experience and expertise with the team to help capitalize on this tremendous market opportunity at hand."

A graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, Jourdan was commissioned as a U.S. Army officer before entering the private sector. He also serves on the board of the Houston-based nonprofit Search Homeless Services.

Pros, one of Houston's largest technology companies, is a developer of artificial intelligence-powered cloud software offerings for quote pricing, revenue management, digital sales and other services. The company is led by President and CEO Andres Reiner.

Nonemployee board directors for Pros received an annual cash retainer of $35,000 in 2020 and were eligible for additional compensation for serving on standing board committees, according to an April 2 proxy statement Pros filed with the SEC.

In March, Pros announced the appointment of Katrina Klier as the firm's chief marketing officer. Klier has more than 25 years of experience in marketing strategy for companies in telecom, software and professional services.

Klier reports to Les Rechan, who was appointed Pros' first COO in 2020. Rechan had served on the Pros board of directors since 2015 but resigned as a director of the company effective upon his appointment to the C-suite.

Last year, Pros relocated from Midtown Houston to an office in the Kirby Collection at 3200 Kirby Drive. The tech company leased 118,000-square-feet in the Kirby Collection, the HBJ reported in 2018.

Founded in 1985, Pros has more than 650 employees and ranked No. 32 on the Houston Business Journal's 2021 List of fastest-growing middle market companies.
