The year 2021 continued to bring momentum to Houston's innovation ecosystem.

We're excited to highlight some of that local momentum with Houston Inno's first-ever Fire Awards. The 25 Houston-area companies on this list, selected from nominations and Inno's editorial team, had breakout years in 2021. Our selections are based largely on major milestones, including overall growth, innovative ways of doing things, funding rounds, product launches and social impact.

From energy technology companies to pharmaceutical development and life science companies, all the way to innovative local nonprofit organizations, the finalists for Houston Inno's Fire Awards are pushing the bar to new heights in the Bayou City.

These honorees will be recognized at a virtual presentation March 10. Click here to register for the Inno Fire Awards. Moreover, one finalist from each category will be honored as an "Inno Blazer," or a company that has demonstrated phenomenal growth and innovation.

You'll also be able to read more about these 25 companies in the March 11 print edition and online.
