While Covid-19 has slowed hiring plans for many, the state’s top technology companies and startups are still bringing on crucial new personnel during this pandemic.

We track the major player personnel moves in our daily newsletter, the Beat. Below, we’ve listed the top Colorado technology and startup hires reported in November.

Gov. Jared Polis announced the appointment of technology leader Anthony Neal-Graves as the state’s new chief information officer and the Office of Information Technology’s executive director. Neal-Graves has served in an interim role since September 2020 and joined the Office of Information Technology in 2017 as executive director of the newly formed Colorado Broadband Office.

Denver-based unicorn Guild Education, an education and upskilling company, announced the appointment of Natalie McCullough as president and the company's first chief commercial officer. She previously served as president and COO of Domino Data Lab, a data science platform used by over 20% of the Fortune 100, and was GM at Microsoft.

Longmont's Creative Learning Systems, a comprehensive K-12 STEM solutions provider, announced that Scott Hanlin has joined the company as its chief operating officer. Hanlin spent 15 years at Pearson, and most recently served as the director of development and delivery for Pearson's classroom assessment business.

Revelstoke Capital Partners, a Denver-based private equity firm, announced it has expanded its team with the addition of Ron Kuerbitz as an operating partner. Kuerbitz becomes the firm's fourth operating partner and will be responsible for providing strategic guidance and industry expertise across Revelstoke's portfolio of healthcare services companies.

Dizzion, a Denver company developing managed desktop as a service solutions, announced the appointment of Kwesi Ames to the position of senior VP of operations. In the new role, Ames will lead the company's operations department with functional responsibility that includes technical operations, platform engineering and customer support. Ames previously served as vice president of site reliability engineering at Salesforce.

Denver-based short-term rental analytics firm AirDNA announced that Jamie Lane has joined the team as VP of research. During his time as senior director of research for CBRE Hotels, Lane led all aspects of research, forecasting and data intelligence.

Centennial's NUBURU, an industrial blue laser company, announced the executive appointments of Guy Gilliland as CEO and Chris Baldwin as CFO. Prior to NUBURU, Gilliland served on the management team at Boston Consulting Group, where he led the firm’s global and North American technology practices. Baldwin most recently served as the CFO at Axsun Industries.
