Denver's Demoflow has created a collaborative platform for virtual sales presentations

Sales presentations have always been challenging and those challenges have only been exacerbated by the virtual nature of the current pandemic.

At his previous company, Larson Stair saw a disconnect between the internal sales tools and the technology used during sales presentations.

“I was noticing so much inconsistency in the way people were presenting their own product they were selling,” he said. “We have tools for everything under the sun on the sales side, but when it comes to what we’re physically presenting and showing, it’s kind of a grey space that’s left up to chance.”

So, Stair and Jack Collins began building a software solution to bridge the gap during sales presentations. The duo went full-time with the project in January and have seen substantial traction due to the virtual nature of today’s sales ecosystem.

The company, Denver-based Demoflow, is a collaborative remote selling platform that integrates with and complements platforms such as Zoom, Salesforce and Slack.

To fuel its growth, Demoflow Monday announced a seed capital raise of $1.6 million led by FirstMile Ventures, with other major participants including Slack Fund, RTP Seed, Next Frontier Capital and Heroic Ventures.

Demoflow’s platform aims to increase sales close rates and reduces sales cycles by providing a new workspace to help companies qualify, discover, demo, close and onboard new customers.

Demoflow’s key features include built-in web browsers to simultaneously demo multiple products or user roles with the click of a button, a content management system with a drag-and-drop interface and reporting and conversion analytics to better predict sales cycles and forecast deals.

The company recently completed the 2020 Techstars Boulder program and has quickly gained traction with enterprise SaaS companies including SugarCRM, Stream and Dealers United, among others.

“Software sales has almost always done remote via Zoom, so that hasn’t really changed,” Stair said. “What has changed, is I’m not sitting next to my colleagues anymore. We can’t go into a conference room and strategize on deals or go back and forth really quickly. Our platform is very collaborative and allows two different parties to prep for calls asynchronously.”

Funding from the round will be used to build out additional product features and to hire sales and marketing personnel as demand for Demoflow grows.

The company currently has three full-time employees and Stair said he expects that number to grow to 10 by the end of the year. As it builds out its product, Demoflow is working to grow in the enterprise sector and hopes to further integrate with the Zoom platform.

“We don’t offer a screenshare solution because you’ve already decided the best one for you, and it’s probably Zoom,” Stair said. “We’re going to build a deep integration with Zoom.”
