Techstars Boulder's newest class will have more Colorado flair than ever before, with six companies hailing from the Centennial State.

This is the 156 Techstars class and 13th in Boulder, where the accelerator got its start in 2007.

The 10 startups in Techstars Boulder's 2019 class include companies based in Colorado, Oregon, Texas, Utah and India. More than half the founders come from underrepresented groups in the startup ecosystem, and a quarter of the founders are immigrants to the U.S.

“We’re excited about the diversity in this class, working in industries and business models we know as well new ones, because we’re confident in the experience and expertise of our mentors. They have so much depth, they are able to propel a wide variety of companies to the best outcomes,” said Natty Zola, managing director of Techstars Boulder.

As part of the 90-day accelerator, every company is offered a $100,000 convertible note. Techstars contributes $20,000, which is commonly used as a stipend to support living expenses during the program, and in return receives 6% common stock from each company.

However, in 2014, Techstars introduced an 'Equity Back Guarantee,' allowing graduate companies to lower or eliminate the accelerator's equity position if the startup is unhappy with the value it received.

Take a look below at the 10 companies accepted into Techstars Boulder's 2019 Class:
