After four rounds and approximately 3,800 votes, a new Colorado Inno Madness champion has been crowned.

The bracket-style challenge started with 16 companies across the state’s innovation and tech sectors. After weeks of close calls and eliminations based on who readers would invest in, the championship came down to two female-founded businesses: Bitewell and Tilt.

In a final round that drew in more votes than any other round this year, Fort Collins-based Tilt came out on top as the 2024 Colorado Inno Madness champion.

The workplace leave management platform beat out Denver-based food tech startup Bitewell with 57% of the votes.

“We loved being part of the 2024 Colorado Inno Madness,” Tilt CEO and founder Jen Henderson said. “There were so many great companies, so to have our team and our customers show up and vote us in as the champion, we’re honored.”

Tilt, known for its platform that streamlines company leave policies and federal and state laws surrounding leave, was founded in 2017 by Henderson, a first-time female founder and first-time tech founder. The company’s inaugural line of code wasn’t written until two years later.

Today, Tilt’s software works with companies of all sizes, from 10 employees to more than 5,000. Henderson said Tilt’s sweet spot is businesses with 500 to 5,000 employees.

Tilt has raised $18.5 million in venture capital to date, including a $10 million Series B in March 2023, and has 84 employees across the U.S. The company has also doubled its revenue every year since 2019.
