A local startup focused on making male fertility and sexual health care more accessible announced on Wednesday a partnership with Mark Cuban’s pharmaceutical company.

Posterity Health evaluates a male’s fertility, treats patients and offers educational resources at its clinic in Centennial and through its telehealth services. The remote offering allows men to order an at-home assessment from Posterity Health’s website. The $199 assessment includes a semen analysis, telehealth consultation and individualized recommendations.

The new partnership with the Mark Cuban Cost Plus Drug Company allows Posterity Health to bring its digital offering to more men across the U.S.

“By aligning with Cost Plus Drugs, males will have access to affordable and effective medications that treat infertility, sexual dysfunction and low testosterone,” Posterity Health CEO and co-founder Pam Pure said.

Pure said the partnership with Cost Plus Drugs was an instant match because both companies aim to make their health care services more accessible. Posterity Health is focused on making its at-home testing kit available to more men, especially those living in places where treatment is typically unavailable. Cost Plus Drugs, which launched its online pharmacy in January 2022, intends to make medications more accessible and affordable.

“It is time to break the stigma around male fertility and men’s sexual health,” Mark Cuban, founder of Cost Plus Drugs, said in a statement about the partnership. “Treatment for these conditions is often life-changing. Working together with Posterity Health, we can help more men receive the care and treatment they need to become healthier fathers.”

This partnership is a big next step for a company that has grown significantly over the last year. In July 2022, Posterity Health raised a $6 million seed round and added an additional $1.5 million to the round in January. Around the time of its last raise, the company was licensed in 26 states. Now, it provides care in 45 states.

Pure, who has extensive experience in the digital health care space, and her husband Dr. Barrett Cowan co-launched Posterity Health in May 2021. Cowan serves as Posterity Health’s chief medical officer and is a practicing reproductive urologist.

Posterity Health, according to Pure, is now the largest reproductive urology practice in the country. To keep up with demand, the company, which has 30 employees, is hiring for several positions, such as care navigators and account managers.
