Continuing on the trend of global technology companies moving to Denver, a New Zealand-based SaaS startup has selected the Mile High City for its U.S. headquarters.

FileInvite announced on Wednesday that it has selected Colorado as its U.S. home, bringing more than 140 new jobs with them to the state.

The company helps businesses improve customer experience and productivity by helping to collect documents and share information.

With nearly half of FileInvite’s current customers located within the U.S., the company said it identified a local headquarters as a key part of its continued growth. Prior to choosing Colorado, FileInvite considered opening its U.S. headquarters in Utah, Texas or Illinois.

Before this announcement, FileInvite’s potential move to Colorado was known as “Project Files,” a name given by the Colorado Economic Development Commission. At the time, commissioners offered as much as $1.69 million in job growth incentive tax credit funding for the company to add 144 jobs at an average annual wage of $102,049.

“In addition to 140 good-paying new jobs to Colorado, FileInvite brings a spotlight of global awareness to Colorado’s technology sector,” Gov. Jared Polis said in a statement. “We are the best location for companies from across the world seeking to invest and grow in the US market and we welcome Fileinvite to our great state.”

In each of the past four years, FileInvite reported more than 100% revenue growth, including 300% revenue growth in fiscal year 2020. And, after raising a total of $4.5 million NZD since its founding, the company comes to the U.S. ahead of an upcoming Series A funding round.

“Our rapid growth demonstrates the need in the market for simple, yet impactful document collection solutions like FileInvite,” James Sampson, CEO and founder of FileInvite, said in a statement. “We are looking forward to being a part of the Denver tech community and tapping into the high caliber talent in the area.”

The company said it will begin hiring immediately, focused initially on sales and marketing roles.

“FileInvite is a welcomed addition to our technology and information portfolio of businesses,” Pat Meyers, executive director of OEDIT, said in a statement. “They demonstrate Colorado is a competitive location for foreign companies seeking to invest and grow in the US market while increasing employment in the key sector of technology. FileInvite also represents another New Zealand company, one of the countries from which Colorado has targeted increased Foreign Direct Investment, setting up shop in Colorado.”
