In its annual list of the fastest-growing companies in America, Inc. Magazine named 151 Colorado-based ventures to its Inc. 5000 list.

This number holds steady with the 154 Colorado companies that appeared on the 2019 version of the list.

The rankings are determined based on percentage revenue growth from 2016 to 2019, with minimums of $100,000 in 2016 and $2 million in 2019. All of the companies are private and were founded before March 31, 2016.

This year’s edition of the list broke companies down by specific metro areas, revealing that 103 of Colorado’s 151 companies on the list came from Denver, with an additional 19 hailing from Boulder.

The top ranked Colorado company on the list was insulated drinkware company BruMate, checking in at No. 14 with nearly 12,000 percent growth from 2016. Following close behind at No. 16, Denver’ NuLeaf Naturals reported 11,495 percent growth.

Colorado startups and technology companies littered the list, with Guild Education, Wurk, Infinicept, Pax8, Avanoo, TurboTenant, ThrivePass, Impuslify and many others landing in the top 1000 of the list.

Quantum Metric, a SaaS platform that helps organizations build better digital products faster, landed at No. 124 on the list, reporting 2,945 percent growth.

"We are thrilled to have achieved such a high rank for our first year on the Inc. 5000 list. Being among the top 125 fastest-growing private companies is truly an honor, and to share this recognition amongst historical successes like Microsoft, Timberland, Intuit, Chobani, Oracle, and more, brings clarity to what the future holds for our team, partners, and customers," Quantum Metric founder and CEO Mario Ciabarra said in a statement.

Ten years after its founding, Denver tech unicorn Ibotta landed on the list for the third consecutive year, checking in at No. 1,110.

“The impact of COVID-19 over the last few months has reinforced our mission to make every purchase rewarding," CEO and founder Bryan Leach said in a statement. "We know our Savers need the extra support now more than ever, and this recognition is a positive reminder of all we've accomplished and encourages me as we push for even more in 2020 to support our community at a time when they need it most.”

This year’s highest ranking companies were Atlanta-based OneTrust, Los Angeles-based Create Music Group and Florida-based Lovell Government Services — each reporting over 40,000% growth since 2016.

All together, Inc. shows that the 5,000 companies on the list produced $209.7 billion in revenue over the three years and added more than 582,000 jobs.
