Interaxon, a neurotechnology and meditation company with its U.S. HQ in Denver, announced a new product at CES 2020 that is designed to help users go to sleep.
The Muse S is a multi-sensor fabric headband that offers a new way to access biofeedback-enhanced meditation and promotes healthy pre-sleep habits.
Building on its current biofeedback meditation offerings, the Muse S offers Go-to-Sleep Journeys that helps users slow their busy minds before they go to sleep.
"We wanted to offer our users improved ways to hack their bedtime ritual through responsive guidance, neurofeedback and tangible data," Chris Aimone, Muse co-founder and CTO, said in a statement. "Muse S was designed with two key things in mind: to bring meditation to even more aspects of your life, and to take the advanced neurotechnology we are known for and compile it all into a versatile and extremely comfortable EEG headband that is optimized for a truly unique relaxation experience."

Each Go-to-Sleep Journey has a unique soundscape, which is made up of individual sounds that reflect different feedback centers including brain activity, heart rate and movement.
These individual feedback sounds are layered in real-time to work together to create a personalized soundscape that reflects changes in your physical and mental states - a personalized sleep soundtrack, shaped in real-time.
The Muse S is available for $350 on the company's website and Amazon in North America, with a worldwide release coming soon.
Interaxon opened its Denver office at Catalyst HTI in early-2019, marking its first expansion from its Toronto HQ.
When talking to Colorado Inno at that time, CEO Derek Luke said that Catalyst's collaborative nature made it an ideal U.S. HQ for the company.
"What we liked about the facility is the synergy of the people there. It’s full of mission-based companies that are focused on making people’s lives better,” Luke said in January 2019.
Interaxon has 65 employees spread across its two offices, with the lion's share based in Toronto.
Its core product, the Muse, is a brain sensing headband designed to help users meditate by providing real-time audio and visual feedback on their meditative state through a companion app.
