In its annual list of the fastest-growing companies in America, Inc. Magazine named 156 Colorado-based ventures to its Inc. 5000 list.

The rankings are determined based on percentage revenue growth from 2015 to 2018, with minimums of $100,000 in 2015 and $2 million in 2018. All of the companies are private and were founded before March 31, 2015.

Denver hemp oil manufacturer NuLeaf Naturals took the top spot for local companies, ranking No. 11 on the overall list. NuLeaf, founded in 2014 by Jaden Barnes, posted revenue of $13.9 million in 2018, a 12,000 percent increase from 2015.

Parker-based pet healthcare company H&C Animal Health was the only other Colorado company in the top 50, landing at No. 37 on the list. The 11-person company posted $24 million in revenue in 2018, up more than 6,000 percent from 2015.

Plenty of local tech companies made the list, including Pax8 (60), ThrivePass (261), Realvolve (394), Bonusly (482), FloWater (493) and Conga (508).

Coming off its major unicorn status announcement last week, Ibotta checked in at No. 699 on the list, with $157 million in 2018 revenue, up 623 percent from 2015.
