Want a slurpy in Cheesman Park or need ice for your picnic at City Park? One national convenience store chain will bring it to you.
7-Eleven announced this week that it will now deliver to thousands of public locations like parks, beaches, sports fields and entertainment venues through its 7NOW delivery app.
The service, which was piloted in Dallas in 2017, is available in 27 major metropolitan areas, including Denver and Colorado Springs.
"Our mission is to redefine convenience by becoming a customer obsessed, digitally enabled company," said Gurmeet Singh, 7-Eleven chief digital, information and marketing officer, in a statement. "7NOW Pins makes convenience more convenient, by keeping customers in the moment, whether at a game, in the park or enjoying the sun on the beach. Our customers asked for it and we are delivering."
Customers can order anything from a hot dog to a phone charger and have it delivered within 30 minutes to a host of "hot spot" places. The company currently delivers to 2,000 locations and hopes to grow to 200,000 hot spots across the country, Singh said.
There is no minimum order required and the chain charges a flat delivery fee of $3.99, using Postmates to handle deliveries.
This is the latest move in 7-Eleven's push for increased customer convenience. The chain began offering an app-based delivery service to shoppers' homes in 28 major metropolitan markets in 2018.
