March is here, which means the madness has arrived. While the action on the college basketball court won’t start for another week, Tech Madness kicks off today at Colorado Inno.
This reader-driven bracket competition will pit some of Colorado’s brightest startups against each other in a friendly, March Madness-style challenge.
Over the next few weeks, 16 Colorado companies will go head-to-head with readers voting to determine who will move on to the next round.
This is meant to be a friendly competition, but one startup must take home the final prize. A vote for one startup doesn’t signify a vote against the other.
We seeded the “teams” based on a variety of factors, including funding raised, number of employees and insights from our editorial staff on trajectory. Voting for each match will be open to the community, with readers answering just one question - who would you invest in?
This can be interpreted a number of different ways. Is this about which startup could deliver the highest return? Who you think is the safest bet? Or is it about supporting a project or mission you’re passionate about? How ever you want to interpret that question is up to you. That's Tech Madness!
We’re excited to bring the tech and startup communities together for some friendly competition. Remember, this challenge is designed to generate awareness and excitement for the state’s innovation ecosystem.
Voting for Round 1 will remain open until Thursday, March 14. Once each round of voting closes, we’ll advance the winners and let you know about the news in The Beat.
