TurboTenant, a Fort Collins-based rental management software maker, raised $2.2 million this month, led by Denver's Access Venture Partners.

TurboTenant, which launched in 2015, lets landlords market new listings, manage online rental applications, screen tenants, manage renters insurance and communicate with tenants.

Other investors in the round included early-stage venture fund Service Provider Capital; Michael Beaudoin, co-founder of home improvement site HomeAdvisor; and Karl Sowa, former CMO of HomeAdvisor. Proceeds of the round will go towards product innovation, marketing and talent acquisition.

"We have game-changing features planned and we are excited to now have additional capital to make the rental process easier and faster for millions of landlords and renters," said Sarnen Steinbarth, TurboTenant founder and CEO, in a statement.
