A Boulder startup helping loan officers manage relationships recently closed a $19 million Series A.

Named a Colorado Inno Startup to Watch in 2024, Aidium’s customer relationship management software offers tools for marketing, content, leads, referrals and automation.

The Series A was led by PeakSpan Capital, a California-based venture capital and private equity firm, and comes in two tranches, Aidium CEO and founder Spencer Dusebout told Colorado Inno.

Aidium received a portion of the $19 million last year and another round at a higher company valuation this year, Dusebout said. A nearly $7 million Form D Aidium filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in late February was part of this round.

As part of the initial capital raise, PeakSpan could put more capital into Aidium based on how the startup performed, Dusebout said.

“We had a pretty successful year last year ... so they opted to do that essentially,” Dusebout said. “It wasn’t like we went out and actively sought the money, but it was something that we knew was likely to happen when we signed our original deal with PeakSpan.”

Aidium declined to share its current valuation.

Dusebout said the startup’s revenue grew more than 60% last year.

“Despite the challenging mortgage environment in 2022 and 2023, [Aidium] has been able to meaningfully scale revenue and roll-out powerful new data products to further enhance its value proposition,” Kyle Reitinger, PeakSpan vice president, said in a statement. “We see such tremendous opportunity for further innovation in the category and are energized to support the team in 2024 and beyond.”

Aidium plans to roll out new products this year, including a 24/7 support line and data visualization, data warehousing and artificial intelligence-backed forecasting tools.

The startup will also continue growing its 47-person team to have 65 to 70 employees by the end of the year.

Aidium got its start in 2018 under the name Daily AI before acquiring another business and rebranding to Aidium in early 2023.

In 2018, Dusebout was working on his other startup when he realized inefficiencies in real estate transactions. He said all parties involved in the sale, from realtors to loan officers, weren’t on the same page. So, he and co-founder Spence Hall created CRM platform Aidium.
