Denver-based apparel brand Truewerk Inc. closed a $7 million equity round this week, according to a recent filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

This funding news comes 14 months after the company raised an $18.18 million round led by equity firm Stride Consumer Partners.

Truewerk declined to comment on this latest raise.

The apparel brand produces and sells workwear geared toward people employed in the trades. Products range from polos and half zips to overalls, hoodies and hats. For customers based in most of Colorado and parts of Wyoming and Nebraska, Truewerk offers one-day shipping on most orders.

According to the SEC filing, this recent round came from two undisclosed investors with the first sale taking place on June 14. This influx of capital brings Truewerk’s total equity raised to approximately $30.76 million since its founding in 2015, per SEC filings.

Around the time of the company’s last funding raise in April 2022, Truewerk’s CEO and found Brian Ciciora said the company was focused on growth. This included expanding product inventory, increasing marketing efforts and R&D for new products.

“We design, develop and produce our own technical fabric,” Ciciora previously said. “So there’s a lot of work that will continue to go to research and development of both the fabrics as well as the garment technology.”

Ciciora also told Colorado Inno that he planned to move or expand Truewerk's headquarters within the next 12 to 24 months. It is unknown if a relocation or expansion will still take place. As of now, the company remains located at 7010 Broadway in Denver.
