Denver security and networking company Todyl has raised a $28 Million Series A investment round to support further development and expansion of its platform, which launched this week with a suite of new modules.
The company said it plans to use the round to open new security operations centers in the United States and overseas and more than double its headcount — which currently includes 19 in the Denver area — in the next year.
The Series A was led by Anthos Capital, with Tech Operators, Blu Ventures, and StoneMill Ventures increasing their existing investments.
The company previously announced $3.6 million in equity funding from seven investors in 2021 and a $2.25 million seed round in 2020 backed by TechOperators and Blu Venture Investors.
Co-founded by John Nellen and James Pellizzi, Todyl offers a unified security cloud platform built for managed service providers and managed security service providers that is designed to bring devices, clouds and end-users into a single, secure network for businesses that outsource their information technology needs. Nellen serves as CEO of the company and Pellizzi is head of user experience.
The company moved from New York City to Denver in 2020, citing a vibrant startup community in tech and security, a deep talent pool, favorable operating costs and what Nellen called at the time “a quality of life and healthy lifestyle that meshes well with the DNA of our company.”
Todyl’s portfolio includes detection and response, anti-virus and security information and management products serving primarily the small and medium business markets, and brings together dozens of products and tools to deliver comprehensive security and help businesses increase margins, accelerate growth and streamline operations.
“Our partners no longer need to stitch together dozens of products and tools to deliver comprehensive security. With one platform and one agent, they can calibrate our powerful capabilities to fit their client’s exact needs,” Darrin Swan, channel chief at Todyl, said in a statement.
New modules launched this week include a single-agent platform that combines endpoint detection and response with next-generation anti-virus software into a single-agent product; a personalized 24x7 managed extended detection and response service; and an overhauled security information and event management system.
