Broomfield software company Liqid has capped off a run of recent success with a $28 million funding round that will accelerate its growth and build out its Colorado team.
The provider of composable infrastructure solutions announced this week that it raised the Series B funding round led by Panorama Point Partners, with participation from Iron Gate Capital and affiliates of DH Capital.
The investment brings total company funding to $50 million. Liqid recently doubled quarter-over-quarter revenue, with record profit and a record number of customers and deployments of its solutions, the company said.
Liqid's software is aimed at improving data center efficiency, enabling previously static resources to be shared dynamically through software.
The company, founded in 2013, has 45 total employees and expects that number to grow as a result of this round.
Liqid COO and co-founder Bryan Schramm said the company will look to hire for its sales and marketing, engineering, operational and finance teams.
"We will be hiring both in the Colorado region and in territories around the world where it makes sense for our company to expand its industry presence," he told Colorado Inno.
He said growing here in Colorado hasn't been a struggle and that he's looking forward to the company's continued success in the state.
"Colorado has been a hotbed of the technology sector for some time now, so it has been excellent for recruiting, collaboration and growth. We’ve attracted top talent in engineering for data storage technologies, networking, visual computing, data center architecture and more," he said. "That same talent pool provides many opportunities to collaborate with other regionally-based technology providers to drive innovation. We’re very excited to enter this new chapter in the outstanding company of so many startup innovators and industry leaders."
Liqid will also use the funding to address the needs of an expanding number of industry verticals that benefit from software-defined adaptive architectures.
The company has worked with and continues to work with a number of international tech leaders including Dell Technologies OEM & IoT Solutions, Toshiba Corporation and Intel Corporation, among others.
